There is a currently a discussion taking place into the possibility of the Post Office coming back to Milverton and being located in the District Council offices, at Riverside House on Milverton Hill, in a remodelled reception area. The District Council appear to be keen to explore this idea, the local MP, has also had talks with Post Office Ltd.

Councillor Bill Gifford has made contact with Jay Patel, the former sub postmaster, who is very interested in coming back with his team to run any new post office facility in Riverside House. Bill explained "Jay and his former experienced staff would be the ideal people to have running any Post Office in Milverton at Riverside House."
