Cllr. Nicole Alexander wants to know how Apollo’s late night opening is affecting local residents.

There was relief and disappointment over the Licensing Panel's decision concerning the late opening of the Apollo Cinema. The Apollo applied for permission to remain open seven days a

week until 1 am, to show films, play recorded music and provide late night refreshment.

The residents were relieved that permission was only granted for two days a week - but are still very concerned about the noise caused by large numbers of people emerging into residential streets, in the early hours of the morning and the disturbance of their departing cars.

The cinema once had its own car park but that was greatly reduced when several additional screens were built. St Peter's car park closes at midnight.

Please email ncalspa@yahoo.co.uk about your cinema experience, either as a patron or a resident. Can you find suitable, safe parking places, how long do you have for a taxi, is it a handy place for late night refreshment?
